It’s clear KC Concepcion’s showbiz hiatus has done her well, as it gave her time to pursue pet projects she’s always wanted. The fruits of her labor were first unveiled last March, which saw the launch of her bespoke jewelry line “Avec Moi by Kristina.” The project was 10 months in the making, with the designs of the jewelry sketched by Concepcion herself.
Concepcion shared her latest project on Instagram, this time a nail polish collaboration with Happy Skin. Concepcion first made the announcement last July 4, with a photo of her posing with her chin resting on her hand, showing off her pink nails.
“I’ve shared with you my fascination with the Rose & how it symbolises to me what a Woman is about- someone who is both complex but beautiful, delicate but intriguing,” wrote Concepcion then. “That said, I’ve been so inspired to create beautiful things with these qualities & I’ve come up with something new… again!”
Over the weekend, in July 14, Concepcion made another post on her Instagram where she shared that her break from showbiz was one of the most rewarding decisions she’s ever made.
“My showbiz hiatus of almost 3 years has been one of the most nervewracking – and yet rewarding – decisions I’ve made,” wrote Concepcion. “The time away from the grind that I love allowed me the freedom to #KeepCreating new products & passion projects along with such competent teams & the most inspiring professionals.”
She added, “Designing my own jewelry, to content creation for my favorite brands, to now co-creating 2 shades of nail polish launching in stores soon, my heart is fluttering & constantly ‘kilig.’”
“Believe it. You can be anything you want to be if you have the patience, the vision, faith & work hard. There is POWER & BEAUTY in every woman.”
The kilig continues for Concepcion as she appears to be brewing more surprises up her sleeve. Last June, Concepcion expressed interest in building a wine collection, prompting some of her fans to wonder if she might be eyeing the wine business as well.
It seems there’s just nothing beyond Concepcion’s reach. JB
