The Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has a fresh message to ex-husband, basketball star James Yap. Only this time, she did not go on another tirade against him.
Despite their turbulent relationship, Aquino chose to look back on what would have been hers and Yap’s 13th anniversary on her Instagram page yesterday, July 10.
In her post, the media personality showed that she does not hold any more grudges against her ex. She posted a quote which read: “She is at a place in her life where peace is her priority and negativity cannot exist.”
She looked back to the day they were named husband and wife: “13 years ago today, we made a commitment BUT fate took us in different directions.” Although their relationship had to end, she still acknowledged him for one of her two “achievements” — their son Bimby.
Ending on a positive note, Aquino simply wished Yap and his growing family “peace [and] lasting happiness.”
In several posts by Aquino’s management, Cornerstone Entertainment, it may appear that she has happily moved on with her life. On the premiere night of her comeback movie “I Love You, Hater” last night, Aquino was accompanied by her 11-year-old son and Atty. Gideon Peña, the lawyer whom she has been linked to lately.
Yap and Aquino wed in a civil ceremony back in 2005. The two separated in 2010, and had their marriage annulled two years later.
Previously, the ex-lovers had a spat over Yap’s birthday greeting to Bimby which enraged Aquino. At one point, television broadcaster Korina Sanchez also got involved when she featured the PBA player’s son MJ on her show “Rated K”. MJ is his child with his Italian partner Michela Cazzola. The couple just had a second child, daughter Francesca Michelle, last June. JB
