Selena Gomez cruises in NYC amidst Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin engagement rumors

Selena Gomez proves she is unbothered by the rumored engagement between her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and model Hailey Baldwin, when she spent her day cruising with friends in New York City.

After the news about Bieber and Baldwin’s reported engagement in the Bahamas broke out, Gomez’s friend and assistant, Theresa Mingus, uploaded a photo of her and the singer yesterday, July 8. Sporting an ombré two-piece swimsuit and a chic eyewear, Gomez appeared to be having a good time.

Looking like she doesn’t have a care in the world, Gomez cheekily stuck her tongue out. The duo is having a blast with their other friends in a yacht ride in New York City.

While it was not clear whether their boat ride was a public one, Gomez’s fans have nevertheless uploaded videos of the singer during the ride.

Many fans expected Gomez to be affected by the rumored engagement, as she had been in an on-and-off relationship with Bieber for almost eight years. The two recently broke up again in March.

After seeing Gomez with a carefree, come-what-may aura, her fans are happy about her apparent indifference on the matter. Some fans even pointed out that the singer looks healthier. Gomez, who is suffering from Lupus, underwent a kidney transplant last year.

One Instagram user, @fact_jbsel, however, seemed to think that Gomez’s carefree look was a façade, and that the singer is actually bothered by the news. The netizen quoted the chorus of Gomez’s 2017 song, “Bad Liar.”

Another netizen, @andreaz0112, meanwhile tagged Bieber in a comment s/he made telling Bieber that he shouldn’t have let Gomez go. “@justinbieber The most beautiful girl and you left her. So sad man, do not show up if she goes out with other guys. She is so valuable to be with you,” wrote the netizen.

Another Instagram user used the comment section to diss on Bieber’s choice of girlfriends. The commenter said, “I thought @justinbieber couldn’t date anyone more boring than @selenagomez but seems he had a trick under his sleeve by the name of @haileybaldwin.”

Gomez, Bieber and Baldwin have yet to comment or issue an official statement regarding the reported engagement, as of this writing. JB
