Ara Mina refuses to comment on love triangle issue with Rina Navarro, Usec. Almarinez

Ara Mina finally aired her side on the love triangle controversy she has recently been dragged into. The actress vehemently denied engaging in an affair with Cinema Evaluation Board member Rina Navarro’s ex-fiancé, undersecretary for Philippine International Trading Corporation, Dave Almarinez.
“Actually I don’t want to comment about that Tito Boy,” Mina told TV host Boy Abunda in the late night talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda” last Friday, July 6. Her reply was to answer Abunda, who asked her about her alleged involvement in the love triangle
“I don’t owe the public an explanation,” continued the actress. “Kung iyon ang side ng isang tao, just be it.” (If that is the side of one person, [so] be it.)
“Ang choice mo ay manahimik, hindi ka magpapaliwanag,” pushed Abunda. (Your choice is to remain silent, you won’t explain.)
“Ang choice ko manahimik kasi wala akong dapat i-explain,” answered Mina. (My choice is to stay silent because I don’t have anything to explain.)
“Of course you’ll be honest with your loved one. Kung ano iyong totoong nangyari, i-e-explain mo sa kanya. So I’m not afraid with that,” said the actress, when asked how she would explain, 15 years from now, her involvement in the controversy to Amanda, her daughter with Bulacan mayor Patrick Meneses.
(Of course you’ll be honest with your loved one. Whatever really happened, you will explain to her. So I’m not afraid [of] that.)
“Iginagalang ko iyong choice mo na ‘Ayokong magpaliwanag because wala akong dapat ipaliwanag.’ Ito simpleng tanong lang at hihinto ako dito… sa kontrobersiyang ito, oo o hindi, may inagaw ka ba?” Abunda asked.
(I respect your choice to refuse from explaining your side because you don’t have anything to explain. However, I have a simple question and I will stop at this: in this controversy, yes or no, did you snatch away someone?)
“Hindi. Wala,” was Mina’s tough reply. (No. None.)
Navarro has yet to comment or issue a public statement on Mina’s assertions, as of this writing. Kate Matriano/JB
