Singer-songwriter Calum Scott, who gained worldwide recognition after delivering an impressive rendition of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” in the ninth season of “Britain’s Got Talent,” will hold his first concert in Manila on Oct. 30 at the Kia Theatre, as part of the Asian leg of his “Only Human” world tour.
Tickets to the show—mounted by Ovation Productions—will go on sale on June 23 (call 911-5555).
Earlier this year, the 29-year-old British crooner released his debut album, “Only Human.” The record, which features songs that touch on isolation, unrequited love and his coming out, spawned the hit “You Are the Reason.”
In a recent visit to the Philippines to promote the record, he related that he had been to the country when he was younger to visit some relatives, and was able to experience riding a tricycle. But visiting as a musician this time around, he said then, was special.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
