Samantha Lopez returns to the big screen with ‘Because I Love You’
Original “Eat Bulaga” babe Samantha Lopez, formerly known as Gracia, comes back to the big screen via the movie “Because I Love You.”
Directed by Joel Lamangan, the movie also features Shaira Diaz, David Licauco, Martin del Rosario, Michelle Marquez Dee, Monsour Del Rosario, Bernadette Allyson, and Jao Mapa among others.
Lopez rose to fame in the mid ‘90s when she became a dancer in long-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga.”
She appeared in movies such as “Ang Tipo Kong Lalaki (Maginoo pero medyo…) in 1995; “Tong-its” in 1996; “Wanted Perfect Mother” in 1996; “Ang Misis Kong Hudlum” in 1996, and “Isang Tanong Isang Sagot in 1997, among others.
In 2002, she left the country to live in the US. Each time she visits the Philippines, she performs at “Eat Bulaga.”
In 2015, Lopez revealed that she has separated from her British husband of seven years, Warren Edwards, who heads a shoe manufacturing, design and retail store in Manhattan, New York. /vvp
