LOOK: Herbert Bautista crisscrosses Europe with ex-partner, kids

One thing beneficial if one is close with friends who constantly travel is the free pass to join that friend’s vacation — at least if one’s schedule permits. In the case of “Magandang Buhay” host Karla Estrada, she said she was almost able to join Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista in one of his latest trips.
Estrada posted photos of Bautista alongside his ex-partner, Ma. Teresa “Tates” Gana and their two children, Athena and Harvey, on Instagram last Wednesday, June 20. Although Estrada failed to mention where the family went for their trip, Athena (@athenagana) posted in her Instagram page photos of their vacation in Europe — particularly in Greece, Italy and France.
“Happy Family Bonding! Dapat kasama ako dyan eh! Mega busy lang mga momshie!” wrote Estrada. (Happy Family Bonding! I was supposed to be there with them! But I was just mega busy)

Estrada has been very upfront about her close friendship with Gana. In another Instagram photo uploaded by Estrada in October last year, she paid tribute to their 12 years of friendship. She also thanked Gana for always being there for her and her children during trying times — even for filling her family’s refrigerator with food whenever it was empty.

Meanwhile, Bautista had been in a relationship with Gana for several years before calling it quits. In 2014, Kris Aquino confirmed her relationship with the mayor. Aquino and Bautista parted ways not long after, with Aquino revealing in 2015 that prior to their break up, Bautista asked for her hand in a “romanceless” wedding proposal.
The timing for Estrada’s Instagram post incidentally coincides with Aquino’s latest statement concerning Bautista. In the press conference for her upcoming movie, “I Love You Hater”, Aquino removed her expensive blazer to show off her slimmer body. She then remarked, “Hashtag, Mayor, this is what you’re missing.” It is worth noting however, that Aquino is a friend of Estrada’s as well.
In light of the issues that may arise, Karla Estrada turned off the comment section in the Bautista family photos she posted, which garnered more than 11,000 likes as of this writing. JB
