Filipino male celebrities with families are often looked up on by their fans, particularly if they make it a point to spend and bond with their children. This Father’s Day, it’s the chance of the families of these male stars to honor the pillars of their homes. Some of these well-loved male celebrities include Michael “Bitoy” V., Dingdong Dantes, Drew Arellano, Ogie Alcasid and Ryan Agoncillo.
Michael V. shared via Instagram a photo of him and his family today, June 17. The comedian’s family gifted him with two Nintendo Labo DIY kits — a Toy-Con RC-Car and a Toy-Con Robot. He wrote: “PinakamaLABOng Father’s Day gift na natanggap ko sa buong buhay ko! Thanks kids! (And especially where they came from!) #HappyFathersDay” (The vaguest [a humorous word play for Nintendo Labo; Tagalog word labo means vague] Father’s Day gift that I have received in my entire life!)
Dingdong Dantes and his family spent their weekend in El Nido, Palawan. In an Instagram Story and photo uploaded by his wife, Marian, on Saturday, June 16, the actor was greeted with a surprise meal from his wife and daughter Zia, a day before Father’s Day.
“Feliz día del padre mi amor!” wrote Marian in Spanish. (Happy Father’s Day, my love!)
Dantes also posted a photo of the surprise on his own Instagram page, captioning the photo, “…and so they surprised me with this beautiful set up.”

Drew Arellano also used the weekend as an opportunity to dine with his family. His pregnant wife, Iya, shared via Instagram Story the meal their family shared, as well as the little dancing session between her husband and their son, Primo.
Arellano also uploaded today on Instagram the photos of the gifts he received from his wife and son. He wrote, “Best Father’s day gift EVER. Love you, my boy!”

Meanwhile, Ogie Alcasid was surprised by his son, Nate. “Thank you for the surprise, anak!! Love you nateyboy,” said Alcasid in an Instagram photo he posted today. His wife, Regine, greeted him by sharing as well cute photos of their family.
The Songbird wrote, “Your children are soooo blessed to have a supportive funny and loving dad. I am blessed to have a wonderful partner in life. You are a wonderful husband and father. We love you dad!!!!! @ogiealcasid Happy Father’s Day.”
Ryan Agoncillo, just like his fellow celebrity fathers, also had this special weekend spent with family. His wife, Judy Ann, uploaded candid photos on Instagram today. In one photo, their children — Yohan, Lucho and Luna — were seen posing with their father while they held up a huge yellow paper with written messages for Agoncillo.
Needless to say, Bitoy, Dingdong, Drew, Ogie and Ryan enjoyed their Father’s Day celebration with their respective families, and delighted their fans with the knowledge that behind the laughs they offer and the characters they play, it’s in their roles as dads where they most excel. JB
