‘WalWal’ Grand Press Conference

12:10 AM June 12, 2018

Youthful energy is what I immediately felt radiate from the main cast of ‘WalWal’ when they were presented onstage during the Grand Press Conference last week. That same very feeling is so reminiscent of the era I come from which is Generation – X. For all of you who are in your late 20’s to late 30’s, you know what I am talking about.

To be young is a priceless gift. It is something that can only be had once in life, literally. In ‘WalWal’, those exciting years of being a young adult are going to be explored–the good and the bad. Whether you are in your teens to early 20’s, this movie is especially for you.

But wait, for those “young once upon a time”, to watch ‘WalWal’ will be a great nostalgic trip back to their own days when they were young and foolish, reckless and adventurous, sentimental and romantic. ‘WalWal’ will mirror back to them–themselves. In this movie, they will laugh at the misadventures of their children, weep with them in their agonies and heartaches, rejoice with them in their triumphs and successes. AND THEN, the “young once” can learn to be more patient, understanding, and forgiving of the foibles of the youth.

FEATURED STORIES

So, Hey! Mom and Dad, Lolo and Lola, watch this movie with your children and apos!

Which reminds me, that is why it was so crucial and of absolute necessity that the choice of the main cast of ‘WalWal’ was carefully selected. They had to “believable “in representing their individual respective roles in this movie.

That will have to be seen when this movie ‘WalWal’ co-produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc. and Star Cinema goes on nationwide release in cinemas on June 27, 2018.

Now, here is my light-hearted question for the main cast of ‘WalWal’.

Were there any unforgettable or funny experiences for you during the filming of ‘WalWal’?

Elmo Magalona: During ‘WalWal’ one of the scenes wherein we were on the campus… Because we weren’t just playing our characters, but we were immersed in our characters. We were like college students. We actually shot in the College of St. Benilde. We had funny memories there because we were acting like students of Benilde there and messing around.

Jerome Ponce: Para po naman sa akin… siguro yung part na hindi naman in-expect na good take na pala. Bigla umalis na yung mga camera. Tapos na daw, next scene na pala.  So, natawa kami ! hahaha…

Kiko Estrada: Marami kasi memories na masaya while filming this movie. Siguro, yung isa dun yung inuman namin. The scenes were really funny. Kasi yung mga dialogue dun nakakatawa so parang totoong tao lumalabas. So, yun!

Tapos, sumisigaw kami ni Jerome na, “One more take, one more take!”

Kaya, they are fun to be with. Parang naging part of the set na rin sila. So we were really close to the staff as well.

Yan ang nakakatawa for me.

So, ayun… yan yung pinaka funny.

Sophia Senoron: For me, yung pinaka-unforgettable moment during the taping was definitely my first scene. Kasi that was the first time ever that I was ever in a taping. Na-experience ko yung what it is like to be under so many lights and under so many cameras. And then, to feel the pressure. Siyempre, I was with Elmo Magalona at the same time. So, siyempre sobrang saya ng feeling to be with a renowned actor and to be directed by a renowned director as well. So, well… definitely, yung first scene na tape namin ang pinaka masaya.
