Before Kisses Delavin made it big in “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7” back in 2017, she first made a cameo appearance in ABS-CBN teleserye “Pangako Sa’Yo” in 2015. Today, Delavin is far from her cameo days with lead roles in television series and a sold-out solo concert tucked under her belt. Despite this, however, Delavin remains grounded and has not forgotten where she started.

In a Twitter thread last June 5, Delavin spoke about one of the most painful things she’s ever experienced back when she was still a newcomer in the scene.

“In my 1st yr in showbiz I’ve seen supporters turn into haters, even those who said they’ll always be there,” wrote Delavin on her Twitter account. “Honestly po it was & still is one of the most painful things. But I realized, who am I to complain & feel hurt? God sacrificed His life for me & you even when nobody saw it.”

“I guess it happens when you start judging someone and their intentions,” Delavin said as she contemplated those supposed supporters who eventually turned against her.

“When you judge someone, you have no room to love them. But still, thankful for every little thing. I’ll never forget you, even those who left.

Despite all this, Delavin refrained from holding any grudges or bitterness, choosing instead  positivity and being the better person. “But those who left, I know in my heart that they are good, loving people. I felt that they loved w/ the purest of their hearts and w/ the purest intentions.”

In the end, Delavin attributed it all to fate, saying, “It wasn’t them, it was fate who made it happen. It was fate who made the doubts sound more believable than the actual truth.”  /ra
