The children’s classics might have been written by different authors, but in “Come Away”, the real Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland are actually brother and sister.

The director of DreamWorks’ “Prince of Egypt” and Pixar’s “Brave” has a new project on the go, “Come Away”, which has attracted the attentions of Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo.

In this live-action fantasy reworking of J. M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan” and Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” stories, the A-list pairing would play the parents of two children who, in their imaginary worlds, are Peter and Alice, respectively.

But, it seems the children are faced with a choice between make-believe and home life when their older brother dies and their parents are consumed by grief, per Variety‘s synopsis.

Jolie is currently involved with the filming of “Maleficent 2”, in which she once more plays the fairy-story’s title character and Sleeping Beauty antagonist.

She is also voicing a lead character in animated family comedy “The One and Only Ivan”.

Oyelowo, who in recent years has played Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (“Selman”), Agent Kallus in “Star Wars: Rebels”, and an out-of-his-depth businessman in crime comedy “Gringo”, is currently filming sci-fi horror “Only You”.

He will co-star in the BBC’s 2018 adaptation of “Les Misérables” and Doug Liman’s 2019 sci-fi movie “Chaos Walking”, led by Tom Holland (“Spider-Man: Homecoming”) and Daisy Ridley (“Star Wars” episodes VII to IX). JB
