Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s unabating devotion to her loyal fans is nothing short of admirable, and is probably why her long-time admirers refuse to leave her side. Cuneta has just undergone surgery a few days ago to remove her lipoma, the second one in just less than two months.
While many of her fans were concerned for her, Cuneta is the determined trooper. She took to her Instagram page last night to announce that she is pushing through with her concert in Bacolod this Friday, June 1, despite her recent surgery.
“Hey, BACOLOD!!! I can’t wait to see you all! Papunta na po ako diyan bukas (I am heading there tomorrow),” wrote Cuneta in excitement. “I had minor surgery (I had the same before already and was back to work in a couple of days!) but am ready to sing for you on FRIDAY!!! Am SO EXCITED!!! Hope to see you all there!!! Love you guys and God bless us all!!!”
Cuneta also cannot wait to sample the treats and delicacies of Bacolod, asking people to send her some Napoleones, a layered puff pastry filled with custard cream that is an all-time favorite among tourists. She’s also requesting for some Iloilo butterscotch.
Cuneta’s concert is a part of her “Sharon 40th Mega Philippine Tour” and will be held in the SMX Convention Center in SM Bacolod. Apart from Cuneta, special guest balladeers Martin Nievera and Basil Valdez will be gracing the stage with her. JB
