Mom-to-be Heart Evangelista proudly showed off her baby bump weeks after she announced she was expecting.
“Just the beginning,” said the actress who will have her first child with husband Sen. Chiz Escudero.
Evangelista, ever the fashionista, looked chic in a black maxi-dress, which hugged her figure to reveal a slight bump.
While netizens expressed their joy for her, some noted that her pregnant look seemed to be an ordinary case of the food baby.
“Parang nasobrahan lang ng kain (It looks like you just had too much food),” joked @adiolegion, to which Evangelista replied, “Ng (of) burger steak hihi.”

Evangelista is taking her pregnancy in stride, revealing sad news last week on Instagram that she was initially expecting twins but lost one of them.
“Unfortunately one of the embryos was smaller and behind in terms of development and so we lost one of the twins. Our hearts were heavy at the thought but we knew we had to focus on the good.”
She reflected, “But it’s these ups and downs that I know will make me a stronger Mom.” /ra
