“Game of Thrones” reel-to-real couple Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are set to marry on June 23.
The couple will wed in Scotland, Leslie’s homeland, particularly in a castle owned by the future bride’s father, councillor Seb Leslie, reports the BBC. The wedding date was posted at Scotland’s Huntly registration office in Aberdeenshire.
In an October 2017 interview, Harington said on “The Jonathan Ross Show” that he already gave the show’s producer a heads-up on shutting down operations for his big day because he wanted cast members present.
Harington and Leslie played lovers and enemies Jon Snow and Ygritte in the hit fantasy series. While Leslie was only in three seasons, Harington’s star power continued to shine on his character in the show.
He confessed to L’Uomo Vogue in May 2016 of his favorite on-set memory: “The three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season. Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love.”
“If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love,” he explained.
Though he said on “The Jonathan Ross Show” that it would be difficult to convince his fiancee to have a Thrones-themed wedding, he still got away with their wedding invitations. Last April, 200 guests received envelopes with a Jon Snow stamp, reports the Daily Mail. Niña V. Guno/JB
