The moment that got Kit Harington ditching his planned proposal last-minute
The announcement that “Game of Thrones” co-stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are engaged had fans thrilled, given the pair’s TV love story and chemistry.
Harington and Leslie play Jon Snow and Ygritte respectively, two characters who develop feelings for one another despite belonging to opposing camps.
Their onscreen romance soon turned real in 2012, and after moving in together in 2017, Harington proposed—though it wasn’t according to plan.
The Evening Standard reports that on “The Jonathan Ross Show”, the British actor revealed, “I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff.
“But we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early.”

He also shared that the series’ production would halt for one day just for their big day.
He told the producer, “‘You need to factor in a ‘Game of Thrones’ wedding by the way.’ [The cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down.”
And as for a Westeros-themed wedding? “No. There is absolutely no chance of me convincing [Leslie] of that.” Niña V. Guno/JB
