Two years before the lead roles in the 2017 smash hit “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” were given to Bela Padilla and JC Santos, ex-lovers Jessy Mendiola and JM de Guzman were considered for the roles of Stella and Fidel, respectively.
Cine Bravo posted a photo on Facebook showing the two actors with film director Jason Paul Laxamana. The caption read: “Two years before the roles were bagged by JC Santos and Bela Padilla.”
The movie, including the performances of the actors and the direction, was highly praised by the public and critics.
“100 Tula Para Kay Stella” was a participating film at the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2017, and it won awards including the Audience’s Choice Award.
Still, some fans could not help but imagine what could have happened if the lead roles in the hit movie were essayed by Mendiola and De Guzman.
After the actor has sorted out his troubles in life, he returned to television via the sensual afternoon drama “Precious Hearts Romances presents Araw Gabi” alongside young actress Barbie Imperial.

Mendiola, meanwhile, continued her showbiz career, and is currently in a relationship with Kapamilya actor and TV host Luis Manzano.
Many had blamed the duo’s much-publicized and bitter break-up for De Guzman’s breakdown. However, the award-winning actor has always denied that his ex-girlfriend had any role in it. /ee
