Sometimes, when I’m on the set, sitting and resting, I would jump out whenever someone called ‘Direk!’ I always feel they’re asking for me!” he related.

“When you’re an actor, you can take a break when you’re not doing any sequences. But when you’re the director, you’re always up and about, overseeing everyone—the work doesn’t stop. That’s the part I miss,” he added. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
