Aiko Melendez dreams of own wedding despite failed marriages: ‘Ang sarap talaga magmahal’

Despite two failed marriages, actress Aiko Melendez refuses to shut the door on love. Melendez has had her fair share of heartbreaks in the past from ex-husbands Jomari Yllana and Martin Jickain, and though some would think these past hurts may be enough to turn her embittered, Melendez is still so full of love.
She has since been candid about her relationship with boyfriend Subic Mayor Jay Khonghun, and it seems the two are steady based on Melendez’s recent posts. It seems, too, that the royal wedding did not fail to catch Melendez’s fancy, and like the millions who kept watch, she found herself dreaming of a wedding of her own.
Melendez took to her Instagram last May 19 to share a side-by-side picture of Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and now-Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle glowing in their wedding gowns. “It comes in 3 ako na next…,” Melendez said in jest.
But it’s true that every joke holds a grain of truth, as she continued, “…I’m sure you also get that feeling of wanting to walk down the aisle wearing the gown that you love. And that’s exactly how I’m feeling right now. And parang feeling ko mababasa ko nanaman pangatlo ko na to and all , eh di kayo na ang perfect.”
Melendez further wrote that people do not know her whole story, and maintained that what is most important is the present. “Ang importante is ung ngayon, Present… Life is too short to dwell on negative things. Life is about becoming a better individual after every fall…”
She added that what matters most is that she never neglected being a good mother to her children. “Maayos ang buhay ng mga anak ko. At napapalaki ko sila ng maayos na bata.”
“Happy ako sa mga kinakasal parang ang sarap talaga mag mahal…” Melendez wrote. “Kaya relax lang kayo sa kakapuna sa akin…”
Ending her post on a light note, Melendez tagged designer Edwin Tan and told him to ready her gown. “Gusto ko pag gising ko naka gown lang ako wala lang hahah… Dahil ako ang nawawalang isa pang prinsesa ng royal family… sa @iammanginasal ang reception ng pictorial ko.”
When it comes to the affairs of the heart, it seems it’s safe to say that Melendez loves and lets love. /ra
