Aiko Melendez to bashers of her relationship with Subic mayor: ‘Eat your hearts out’

It seems actress Aiko Melendez has had enough of her trolls’ bashing when she took to her Instagram Stories yesterday, May 15, with some sharp words.
The posts concerned her boyfriend, Subic mayor Jay Khonghun, and internet trolls who just won’t stop hating on their relationship.
“Hinihintay nyo talaga na magkamali ako ano (You’re really waiting for me to make a mistake, right?)… My life will never be based on what you think is right for me… This is my life and my choice,” wrote Melendez fearlessly.
Melendez first hinted on her relationship with Khonghun back in February, when she took a picture of them clasping each other’s hands and calling it “Happiness.”
The actress had her fair share of heartbreaks in the past, from her ex-husband Jomari Yllanna and second ex-husband Martin Jickain. Meanwhile, Khonghun is separated from his wife.
“Did it even affect your lives when I make mistakes? Hindi naman diba (It didn’t, right?)… so knock it off guys… Get a life… I will not adjust to what you think is right for me… No one is perfect, whoever says they are, hypocrites kayo. It is never my nature to rant but when I am pushed to the wall, I will also defend myself.”

Melendez followed her Instagram Story with another, reiterating that her life is hers: “Again, this is my life!!! Sorry if you find my life too amusing, or even an entertainment for some. Talk all you want, but at the end of the day, I am only accountable to God and Him alone… I rest my case.”

It looks, too, as if Melendez is unapologetic with her remarks, hashtagging #sorrynotsorry in both of her posts.
Meanwhile, she also shared a photo of her with Khonghun yesterday. The the two of them were out on a date night and looked content and happy, showing everybody that they are strong and positive despite all the vitriol aimed towards them.
“Date night. It’s our choice to be together, whether you like it or not. And we are not here to please anyone. So eat your hearts out trolls,” Melendez declared. JB
