Sharon Cuneta on Sen. Kiko Pangilinan’s new book, farming: ‘Our kids became more respectful of blessings, food’
Megastar Sharon Cuneta was in full support of husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s book launch last May 12. Pangilinan’s book, “Tagsibol”, captures his musings and stories of being a farmer and is his second book after “Indie”.
Cuneta was the proud wife when she took to Facebook last May 12 to gush about her husband’s book. “At 4 p.m. at the Museum Cafe in Greenbelt 4, Makati City today, Kiko is going to launch his second book after ‘Indie’. This one though, ‘Tagsibol’, he wrote himself. It is all about how he “created” our small but beloved farm.”
The book shows a different side to Pangilinan that some may not know; apart from being a senator and loving father, he, too, is an avid farmer with green thumbs. He often posts on his own Instagram page of his harvest, such as lettuce, cherry tomatoes, onions and peppercorns, among others.
Cuneta further wrote that the book is about “how growing only organic veggies is non-negotiable to us; how our children became more respectful and appreciative of God’s blessings of food because they learned how they are grown, where their food comes from. Kiko took most of the pictures too!”
Pangilinan was grateful for his wife and family’s support. Apart from Cuneta, daughters Miel and Frankie also came to the book launch, along with other members of the Pangilinan family.
“Salamat Sharon Cuneta sa pagsuporta sa farm at sa bagong libro,”wrote Pangilinan in gratitude on Facebook last Sunday, May 12. (Thank you, Sharon Cuneta, for supporting the farm and the new book.) JB
