Superstar Nora Aunor, who turns 65 on May 21, doesn’t mind being a senior citizen.

“Why would I hide that fact? Getting old isn’t something to be ashamed of—aminin natin kung ilang taon na tayo!” she said at the contract signing for a coming drama series on GMA 7.

“I look at it this way: I’m just thankful that there are people who believe in me—from the time I was only 12 until now,” Nora said, adding that she’s looking forward to the perks that come with being a senior citizen. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
