Anne Curtis flew to Batanes earlier this week to film her latest movie, which is directed by critically acclaimed director Yam Laranas. Not much is known about the movie as of yet, with Curtis only sharing a picture of a clapperboard last May 6, with the caption, “Day. AURORA,” and tagging director Laranas in the process.

However, it seems Curtis has been smitten with the virginal and picturesque Batanes, sharing numerous photos of its sights with her 8 million followers on her Instagram. In one picture, Curtis posed by the Basco Lighthouse, writing, “Batanes, it’s only day 1 but I love you so much already. #ANNEventuresBatanes #AURORA.”

Curtis also shared a picture of the beach, showing a gorgeous view of skies on the cusp of sunset. “The Philippines is definitely up on top of my list for one of the most magical skies on earth.”

She, too, shared a tip to her followers about dipping one’s toes in the ocean, a tip that, she says, she got from her mother.

“Good Morning!! My mama always told me that the best time to dip your toes in the ocean is in the early hours of the morning. It’s good daw for the body! The fresh air at dawn is always just so refreshing!”

And being the fitness junkie that she is—having just completed the London Marathon last month — Curtis made sure she got her running fix while in Batanes. On May 9, she shared a picture of her atop its rolling hills, wearing only a black sports bra and blue running shorts.

“When you have a late call time and a gorgeous location… You take advantage of it,” gushed Curtis. “Stunning 8km run this morning. #rollinghills.”
