Sarah Geronimo on getting married: Talk to my mom

As she ended her US concert tour, Sarah Geronimo continued to share personal reflections with the audience in New York.
However, an eager fan couldn’t help interrupt her thoughts with a pressing concern, as captured on video by Instagram user @roy_regina_anderson.
“Minsan po sumasagi pa rin siya sa isip ko (Sometimes it still comes to my mind), the heart—” she began, before a fan yelled, “Mag-asawa ka na (Get married already)!”

A surprised Geronimo responded in good humor, “Kausapin n’yo po ang nanay ko (Talk to my mother).”
The pop singer’s mother, Divine, is known to be overprotective of her famous daughter and has allegedly interfered with her love life.

“Don’t you distract me ma’am. Because I’m distractable,” said the singer-actress, who drew laughter from the crowd.
She tried to get back to her original thought, but showed that she had been, indeed, distracted. “Asan na nga ba ako? Ma’am kasi (Where was I? Ma’am got to me)!”
She then stressed that love, career and money would not make one whole, but that a relationship with God would.
Geronimo, 29, and actor-athlete Matteo Guidicelli, 27 have been in a low-key relationship for the past few years.
She has since returned to the Philippines after touring six cities in the US. /ra
