Sen. Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan II was one happy father as he witnessed his daughter, former “The Voice of the Philippines” contestant Kai Honasan, tie the knot with Chicosci bassist Eco del Rio.
The wedding was held at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila last Sunday, May 6.
The senator wished the couple all the best on their wedding day, which he described as “the 1st day of the rest of your lives together,” through his personal Twitter page.
Honasan accompanied his greeting with a photo of himself walking his daughter down the aisle.

The bride was glowing and gorgeous on her special day. Kai’s kindergarten classmate and longtime friend, Sari Campos, stated that it was a pleasure to do Honasan’s makeup.
Other notable names attended the wedding, such as new mom Saab Magalona who was with her husband, Jim Bacarro.
Television host and comedian Bogart the Explorer had the opportunity to take a selfie with the lovebirds.
Itchyworms member Jugs Jugueta also celebrated with Kai and Eco.
Del Rio’s bandmates were in full force for the most important day in the life of their bassist.
Kai savored her dance with her dad, the emotional moment photographed by her brother Karel.
Karel expressed his happiness for his “mini-me” sister and his new brother-in-law.
Kai also shared photos of her “magic hour.” In one shot, del Rio can be seen professing his love to his soon-to-be wife.
They sealed their vows with a kiss as husband and wife. She wrote: “24 hours ago, I married the guy I used to hate in front of everyone we love.”
Kai, who is also known for being the keyboardist for Autotelic, got engaged to del Rio in 2017. JB
