Brother-and-sister duo Erwan and Solenn Heussaff are back again with an entertaining video for their followers, and it just might be an experience that some would rather live vicariously from than experience first hand.
Yesterday, Erwan took to his YouTube account to share his latest challenge with Solenn, which they called “Hot Sauces with Hot Sos.” The challenge had them trying out different local hot sauces, ranging from sweet banana ketchup-like spicy to moderate and crazy sweat-inducing habanero spicy.
“These go from crazy to not so crazy,” Erwan told his viewers. “I haven’t tried any of them so this is really kinda new to us.”
The 12 hot sauces were from the Philippine Hot Sauce Club, a budding collective of chili hot sauce makers and aficionados in the country, and the two were the eager troopers as they sampled each sauce fearlessly accompanied with a bowl of nacho chips.
It didn’t take long, however, before Erwan started to sweat and wheeze a few hot sauces on. Big sis Solenn, however, kept her cool. “How are you chill? How are you chill?” Erwan asked his sister. “Look at you, you’re not sweating, I’m like beading. That’s intense.”
Eventually the two made it through all 12 sauces, although with less poise than when they first started the video. Nonetheless, it was still a triumph over a challenge reserved only for the brave.
