With a lean physique and a flair for the camera, Maymay Entrata has wowed in fashion photos whether on Instagram or magazine spreads.
So it seemed that she would be a likely candidate for a modeling competition—so much so that “Asia’s Next Top Model” named the actress on their wish list for season 6 last month.
Filipino talent has a history of standing out on the show: Filipino-German Maureen Wroblewitz took the crown in season 5.

Even supermodel and “America’s Next Top Model” host Tyra Banks has been approving of Entrata’s looks, such as when she liked her pictures from the Star Magic Ball in October 2017 and a fashion editorial with Mega Magazine in February 2018.

Though many hoped the true Filipina beauty would shine on the international stage, the actress finally addressed the rumors and said they were false.
She wrote on Twitter, “Hindi po totoo yung ANTM. Pasensya na po (The ANTM gig isn’t true. I’m sorry).”

Even if some were left disappointed as Entrata could’ve been a strong contender, certainly, there will still be several opportunities for the “Pinoy Big Brother” winner to showcase her modeling prowess. /ra
