Wanna know what the relationship of actor-dancer Mark Herras and beauty queen girlfriend Winwyn Marquez is like behind the glitz and glamour? They showed viewers that they are just like any other couple.
Marquez and Herras took the opportunity to answer questions from curious fans and followers in a new video posted on Marquez’s Youtube page yesterday, May 2.
The couple goofed around all throughout the video while answering netizen’s queries.
Herras admitted that his most embarrassing moment was when a cockroach crawled on him while filming a scene, making him flinch and screech. When the crew approached him out of concern, he even apologized for it, making everyone laugh.
Marquez also had her fair share of bloopers, too. She remembered that back in high school, she forgot the choreography of her dance number. Because of this, she decided to dance impromptu steps, to not look idle.
Another funny moment was when Marquez revealed her secret talent — mimicking the voice of the blue extraterrestrial life form Stitch from Disney’s “Lilo and Stitch”. In her best impersonation of the character, she said the famous line from the movie “Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind.”
While she is the current titleholder for the Reina Hispanoamericana crown, the beauty queen admitted that she has not mastered the Spanish language. She said she cannot make time for it, being busy with other commitment. Marquez added, “Wala akong kausap na nagsa-Spanish, kaya mahirap talaga for me.” (I don’t have someone to speak with in Spanish, that’s why it’s hard for me.)
Despite this, Marquez said she is putting her crown and influence for the better in her Community Engagement Program in Parañaque City. Here, she goes to mission areas, do literacy programs, feeding programs, and entertain the children. Marquez said, “I may not speak Spanish but I know I’m doing something really great with the crown and that’s helping young kids with the literacy and feeding program.”
And how was their first date like? They revealed that they spent that day inside the car, waiting for a parking space one Valentine’s Day. They said that it has become a “curse” for them, whenever they try to have a good time every Feb. 14.
Herras and Marquez have been dating for two years. The actor has been vocal about his support for his girlfriend while she was on her journey to become the next Reina Hispanoamericana. JB
