One of the country’s most versatile comediennes is celebrating a milestone this year.
Carmela Brosas, more popularly known as K Brosas, is set to stage an all-out concert titled “K Brosas: 18K for 2018” on April 28 at the Kia Theater.
Her concert is billed a must-see not only for the hilarious show the comedian will surely put up but also because of the stellar line-up of guest performers who will be with her on stage. Her powerhouse guests include Pooh and Chokoleit, Queen of R&B Kyla, Ultimate Powerbelter Angeline Quinto, Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, Queen of Soul Jaya and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez. Also joining her is for the first time on a major concert stage is her equally talented daughter Crystal Brosas.
This year marks Brosas’ 18th anniversary in the entertainment scene. Adding up to her credibility as a musician, Brosas remains to be a regular “hurado” in “It’s Showtime’s” “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” for over three seasons now.
It was in year 2000 that Brosas debuted into showbiz with K and The Boxers band. It was the time the band gigs were injected with a funny antics that boomed into the market, especially the masses. The band was mostly remembered for the mass-based radio hit “Sasakyan Kita.” Not long after, she stormed into television hosting such as “Bitoy’s Funniest Videos”, Extra Challenge” and “Eat Bulaga”.
Apart from that she had also been a mainstay in drama series such as “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin”, “Darna”, “Marinara” and “Super Twins”.
In 2008, Brosas started doing projects for the Kapamilya network. She appeared in programs such as “My Girl,” “Idol,” “Maria La Del Barrio” and “Lovers In Paris.”
Her first major solo concert will be directed by Kapamilya actor John Prats and produced by Cornerstone Entertainment and Star Music.
