Kakai Bautista’s clapback to her body shamers: ‘Mahal mo ba ang vadeeh mo?’
What was supposed to be a series of gimmick posts for Kakai Bautista suddenly turned into an empowerment moment as she clapped back at bashers for shaming her body.
Bautista flaunted her bikini body while on vacation at The Cube in Baler, Aurora, on Saturday. In this photo, she was proud to show her backside and gave a funny caption to it: “Pag lumingon ka, sa iyo ako (If you turn your back, I’m yours).”

But in another photo where she could not handle the heat as she soaked into the pool, she had some tough words for her body shamers.
“Hello body shamers. SHAME ON YOU. Chererets,” Bautista wittily remarked. “Sabe magpapayat na daw ako kase may kanzert sabe ko yung damit nalang mag-aadjust (People said I should lose weight because I have a concert, I told them my clothes should adjust)!” she said pertaining to her upcoming 15th-anniversary concert on April 6.
She then went on to say that she is satisfied with her body and she loves it. She then threw this question: “IKAW BA? MAHAL MO BA ang VADEEH mo (How about you? Do you love your body)?”

Showing her gratitude, she explained why she is thankful to the Lord. “Ikaw ang nagturo na mas mahalin pa ang sarili dahil lagi mong ipinaparamdam na talikuran at kutyain man kami ng mundo, bukas ang palad mo ang puso mo umaapaw ang pagmamahal mo para sa amin.”
(You taught me to love myself more because you always made me feel that even though the world may turn its back and judge me, Your hand is open, your heart is overflowing with your love for us.)
Choosing to be positive, the actress-comedienne furthered: “Gumanda at sumaya lalo ang buhay, hindi man magiging perpekto kailanman pero dahil sa iyo, posible ang lahat (Life has become more beautiful and happier, and even if it may not become perfect whatsoever, everything is possible because of You)! She also included the #confidenceispower hashtag.
Netizens lauded Bautista for speaking her truth, and assured her that they have her back on her opinion.
