The official trailer of the Dingdong Dantes-Anne Curtis starrer titled “Sid and Aya: Not a Love Story” is officially released.
The 01.54 – long trailer features the two very unique characters of Sid and Aya. Sid is an insomniac and as Aya becomes his confidante, she becomes endeared to him. Through their sleepless nights, Aya then becomes attached to Sid.
An interesting twist in the story is that Aya’s character is seen saying “I love you” to Sid, but as the movie title claims, theirs is “not a love story.”
Curtis and Dantes began filming early this year and even flew to Japan to shoot some of the scenes in the movie.
The movie also serves as a reunion project for the two as they have both, in their early years, starred in the iconic 90s teen-oriented show “T.G.I.S”.
Both belonged to the show’s second batch alongside fellow 90s teen stars Sunshine Dizon, Kim Delos Santos, Dino Guevarra, Polo Ravales and Maui Taylor among others.
Their batch’s fame also translated into the 1999 teen romantic comedy “Honey My Love So Sweet”.
Curtis is also good friends with Dantes’ famous former longtime girlfriend actress Antoinette Taus who was also part of “T.G.I.S” and his original love team partner.
This however is the first time they will top-bill a movie together. /muf
