No regrets from Katrina: I learn from my mistakes

Katrina Halili is known as much for topping FHM Philippines’ Sexiest Women list twice as she is for that pesky sex video. But, that controversial chapter of her life is now water under the bridge for the 32-year-old “StarStruck” alumna.

During her recent visit to Davao City to promote “The Stepdaughters,” where she costars with former Miss World Megan Young, we asked her to answer four questions:

If you were asked about your biggest regret, what would it be? Regret? Wala akong regret sa mga ginawa ko, because if I didn’t make mistakes, I wouldn’t have known what I know now and would not have learned from them. ’Yun lang.

What lessons do you want your 5-year-old daughter to learn from you? Family first. I want her to know that she can find love and acceptance from her family. Gusto ko, ’yung love n’ya mabubuo sa family … that she doesn’t need to seek it from other people. And I want her to have a relationship with God—that’s all I want for her.

You’re often cast in kontrabida roles. What do you think about when you’re required to be mean in those teleseryes? Actually, wala. I don’t think about anybody. But, when I was I kid, I was fond of watching those Mexican drama series, so that has helped me figure out [what to do with characterization]. Kung ano ang dapat ginagawa ng character ko, I just follow my instinct.

If you can go wherever you want this summer, where would you go? If money’s not an issue, I’d love to go to Amanpulo, because I’ve never been there. If I can travel outside the country, my choice is Switzerland.
