Dingdong Dantes impressed by baby Zia’s growing curiosity
Like any father, Dingdong Dantes was the ever so doting dad when he took to Instagram last night to marvel at the growing curiosity of his 2-year-old baby Zia. The tight-knit family of three jetted out of the country a week ago to have a much-needed family vacation in The Netherlands, and are now reveling in the fortified city-state of Monaco in France.
Dantes shared that they make sure they visit local churches—which Zia calls “Papa God’s house”—in all of their destinations. Visiting churches is one of Zia’s favorite activities, he said, because it piques her interest and compels her to ask many questions.
“Ang dami niyang tanong tungkol sa mga rebulto like, ‘Who’s that?’ and ‘Wachurname?’ But her most asked question, even at home, is why Papa God has blood on his hands, feet and ribs.”
Dantes found this moving, the process of a father trying to explain to his young child the meaning behind these things. “It is just amazing that in the process of trying to explain it to her, I also got to reflect a bit on why He really is on that cross.”
Dantes further shared that this kind of contemplation is not something he gets to do every day.

But there is also the divine child, the potential future who embodies innocence and curiosity—a universal archetype, it seems, that is intrinsic in the youngest of children such as baby Zia. /ra
