Gabby Concepcion’s arrival in Calbayog City in Samar brought with it a wild frenzy among his fans, who just couldn’t believe their idol was in the city. Concepcion first made his travel to Samar known through his Instagram two days ago, when he posted a picture of his boarding pass. “Good morning,” Concepcion wrote. “On our way to Gaisano Grand Calbayog, Calbayog City, Samar.”
It turns out Concepcion had a personal appearance in one of the McDonald’s branches in Calbayog, which comes just a few days after he participated in the National Breakfast Day event of McDonald’s, where he served people free longgadesal in a branch in Greenhills Shopping Center, Ortigas.

His presence in Calbayog seemed to be too much to handle as a horde of screaming fans tried to get as near as they could to Concepcion. In an Instagram post yesterday, Concepcion is seen being escorted out of a McDonald’s branch with bodyguards joining hands to make a path for him, while police officers guide him out.
Concepcion, meanwhile, smiled at his shrieking fans who tried to take pictures of him. He found himself overwhelmed by the crowd, too, writing last night on Instagram, “So much love from Calbayog City, Samar.”

It wasn’t all work for Concepcion, however. He also shared a video of him yesterday marveling at the Suan Juanico Bridge in Leyte, as they crossed the said bridge from Samar to go to the Tacloban Airport in Leyte.
The San Juanico Bridge is around 2.2 kilometers or 1.3 miles long, and cost $21.9 million to build in 1969 during the term of the late President Ferdinand Marcos. It was reportedly his gift to his wife, Imelda Marcos, a Leyte native.
“Yan po ang San Juanico Bridge. [Second] longest bridge in the Philippines,” shared Concepcion. “Traveling from Samar to Tacloban, dito ang daan namin kasi dun ang airport. It’s a four-hour drive.” /ra
