LOOK: Angel Locsin greets boyfriend Neil Arce with sweet message on his birthday

After months of speculation and guesswork from fans, Angel Locsin and Neil Arce made their relationship official last month, just a few days before Valentine’s Day. Now that there’s no reason to keep their relationship on the down-low anymore, Locsin openly took to her official Instagram account yesterday to greet her boyfriend a happy birthday—much to the delight of their fans!
“To the guy who can charm me from across the room with just a smile,” wrote Locsin. “I hope this day brings everything you want and more! Happiest of birthdays, my love.”
Locsin, too, shared a photo of her and Arce together, with Arce giving her a peck on the cheek while she smiled straight at the camera.
It seems, too, that Locsin and Arce’s relationship is going strong—not that it hasn’t always been. Before they got together, the two have been friends for eight years and it was actually their friendship that made Locsin hesitate to pursue a romantic relationship with Arce. All seems to be well for the two lovebirds, however, as they were seen enjoying the sights and eats of quaint Kyoto in Japan just last month after making their relationship official.
While the two were joined by friends in their quick getaway to Kyoto, Locsin and Arce managed share some sweet and intimate moments with each other. And apart from Kyoto, they were also spotted at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, about an hour away by train from Kyoto. The two even lovingly posed in front of the life-sized replica of the Hogwarts Express.

Although not a huge fan of ramen, Locsin found herself enjoying a bowl of the Japanese dish in Ichiran Ramen Umeda during their time in Osaka. “Not a fan of ramen but this is soooooo good,” gushed Locsin.

Arce and Locsin are two of the few celebrities whose beautiful friendship slowly bloomed into a romantic relationship through the years. It’s a rare thing to see, and not everybody can say their partner is also their best friend, but such is definitely the case for Arce and Locsin.
