Before her busy life as a broadcast journalist and eventually a public servant, Senator Loren Legarda was once a fresh-faced teenage beauty that debuted into the scene as a model of a skin care product in a print ad.
In a recent Instagram post, the lady senator uploaded a photo of her 17-year-old self in a vintage print ad released in 1977.
“This print ad was released in 1977 when I first broke into the scene as a fresh-faced 17-year-old Pond’s girl. That’s how long I’ve been in front of the camera, in the public’s eye. I am grateful to @ponds for giving me the break that opened many doors for me. At 58, people ask about my skin care regimen and I tell them I still use this product until today,” she wrote.
Of course, the netizens did not hold back praising the senator’s beauty beauty.
Legarda is also a staunch environmentalist and an advocate for the preservation of the country’s culture and heritage. /je
