Shaina Magdayao incredulous her starrer makes it to 68th Berlinale

Shaina Magdayao still finds it difficult to believe that the film she starred in made it to the 68th Berlin International Film Festival, or Berlinale, which will be held on Feb. 15 to 25.

Based on her Instagram account’s location status, the actress has already landed in Berlin, Germany.

Magdayao played as Lorena in director Lav Diaz’s black-and-white film “Ang Panahon ng Halimaw” (Season of the Devil).

Before arriving in Berlin, the actress shared several photos on social media regarding the film’s entry into Berlinale. One of the photos showed how surprised she was for the film she worked on to be part of an international film festival.

Diaz set the story for “Halimaw” in the Martial Law era. The film has been described as a “Philippine rock opera.” It also stars Piolo Pascual as Lorena’s husband, Hugo, Pinky Amador as Kwago and Angel Aquino as Anghelita.  /ra
