Jericho Rosales is definitely your adventure junkie next door—when he’s not striking a pose or delivering rehearsed lines in front of the camera, he’s most likely out roughing off the dirt roads with his trusty Scrambler motorbike or surfing and soaking up the sun on Siargao Island—flip flops and board shorts and all.

Being a True Wanderer Ambassador of denim brand Wrangler Philippines fits the bill too, since apart from helping promote tourism in the motherland, Rosales also gets to do the things he loves the most. Yesterday, however, Rosales shared snaps of him on Instagram in what seems to be a film set. This time, however, Rosales is the one behind the cameras instead of being the usual titular star.

“Coming very very soon,” Rosales wrote cryptically. He hints at a likely project with the denim brand, as he used the hashtags #TrueWanderer and #Live2Wanderer (sic) in his caption.

Is Rosales exploring the terrain of directing now, too? If so, it comes as no surprise, as this isn’t the first time Rosales has dipped his feet into the world of directing and producing. Apart from taking acting and directing classes in New York years back, he is also known to have once directed an episode of ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”

On Feb. 9, Rosales also shared a picture of his cinematography equipment that he recently unearthed.

“Getting reunited with my tools from a cinematography class I attended in the early 2000s,” wrote Rosales. “The NikonF90x is my first and only film camera. I added new ‘toy’ to my small but useful collection.”

A master never obtains such title without harnessing his tools until the creative process almost becomes second nature to him. Perhaps this project just comes in perfect timing for Rosales; after years of experimenting and taking the director’s hat on and off, perhaps this opportunity will finally compel Rosales to take the plunge and dive headfirst into the art of directing.  /ra
