James Reid and Nadine Lustre rocked a sold-out Araneta Coliseum during the Revolution concert last Feb. 9, Friday.
Fellow Viva artists Sarah Geronimo, Kiana Valenciano, Sam Concepcion and Bret Jackson joined them in their second major concert. Comedian Vice Ganda was also set to perform but backed out for health reasons.
Sarah G, who co-stars with Reid in “Miss Granny”, worked the crowd as she performed 1990s hits with onscreen and real-life couple JaDine.
Dressed in color-popping streetwear, she and Reid sang and danced Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” and Next’s “Too Close”, with both exuding a fun and relaxed vibe while performing together.
The concert then turned into a full-on party as Lustre joined them for an energized rendition of “Boom! Shake the Room” by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince and “Gettin’ Jiggy wit It” by Will Smith.
Aside from covers, the onscreen and real-life couple performed their original songs, with Reid slaying hits from “Palm Dreams” and Lustre treating fans to her latest single “Stay Up”. JB
