While the premiere of the new movie “Meet Me in St. Gallen” was attended by A-listers, a mini-reunion happened on the sidelines that featured some cast members of the hit comedy movie “Ang Tanging Ina.”
On Instagram on Thursday, the movie’s matriarch, Ai-Ai delas Alas, posted a photo of her and her children in the movie portrayed by Jiro Manio, Heart Evangelista and Marvin Agustin. Also present in the photo was director Bb. Joyce Bernal. They attended in support of the movie’s leading man, Carlo Aquino.
In another photo, familiar faces were added as Aquino, Nikki Valdez and Shaina Magdayao gathered for dinner. Director Irene Villamor and Delas Alas’ husband, Gerald Sibayan, were also seen.
“Ang Tanging Ina,” which revolves around the Montecillo clan, was a commercial success at the time of its release and spawned two sequels, “Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat” and “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na ‘To!).”
“Meet Me in St. Gallen”–the coffee-shop love story featuring Aquino and Bela Padilla as their story unfolds in St. Gallen, Switzerland–is now showing in theaters. /ra
