While rumors have been circulating about whether or not Bela Padilla and Zanjoe Marudo are dating, fans of the two might be disappointed with a new development. The actress declared the real score between her and Marudo: just friends. She also admitted that she is not interested to be in a relationship right now since she has not met anyone worthy of her heart yet.
“Yun nga ang sinasabi ko kanina, na parang feeling ko ay mababalanse ko na ang trabaho ko at personal life ko kapag may na-meet na akong tao na ganun ang ipinaramdam sa akin. Na worth it na huminay-hinay ako.” Padilla said in an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal on Tuesday.
(That’s what I was saying a while ago, that I have a feeling that I will be able to balance work and personal affairs when I meet someone who can make me feel that way. Someone worth it, so I could slow down.)
When asked if Marudo has made her feel that way, she replied, “Kasi ganun din siya eh. Ganun din siya sa point ng buhay niya.” (Because he’s also like that. He’s also at that point in his life.)
“Masaya siya sa trabaho niya, kaya ayaw namin guluhin ang isa’t isa,” Padilla added. (He’s happy with his work, that’s why we don’t want to bother each other.)
But does Marudo meet her standards on being a potential boyfriend? “Hindi ko po masabi eh. Hindi ko pa kasi kilala siya on that [level]… siguro, siguro po,” she admitted. (I really can’t say. I don’t know him on that level… maybe, maybe.)
Padilla also said she has noted how Marudo’s past relationships have been long-term ones. She therefore refuses to pass judgment, she added.
The two worked together in the series “My Dear Heart”. She is set to star opposite Carlo Aquino in the upcoming movie “Meet Me in St. Gallen”, hitting theaters Feb. 7. Katrina Hallare/JB
