Kris Aquino and sisters to meet JFK daughter Caroline Kennedy
Late US President John F. Kennedy’s daughter Caroline Kennedy is set to visit the Philippines very soon and included in her itinerary is meeting fellow presidential daughters—the Aquino sisters.
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino happily shared the news with the entertainment press during the launch of her new endorsement of a local cosmetics brand.
“I’m super excited because in less than two weeks, in 11 days, we get to meet Caroline Kennedy. We were invited to have tea with her. She’s coming here and specifically nag-request siya to us sisters. Kilig na kilig talaga ko. Having grown up in Boston and because super idol ng dad ko ang dad niya,” she said.
As to how she’s preparing for the stately meet-up, the former presidential daughter said she’s definitely got her look on-point.
“Nagpagawa na ko ng tamang Filipiniana. May isang bihis na bihis may isang semi-bihis na bihis lang na Filipiniana. Wala lang na-excite lang ako talaga. And the fact that it came from her that she had wanted to meet us, kilig na kilig talaga ako.”

With her excitement on a high, she really made a way for the event to happen. She pleaded her managing team to cancel prior schedules on that day because she can’t let the moment pass.
Bimby’s advice
Her famous son, James Carlos Aquino Yap Jr. or simply Bimby, obviously inherited the wit and intelligence of his mom.
Proving this is the 10-year-old kid’s suggested topic of conversation he wants his mom to exchange with Kennedy. Bimby wants them to talk about their oddly similar family tragedies which incidentally, were integral to both Philippine and American politics and history.
“Si Bimb nakakaloka, ‘oh mom, you can say both your dads, they were assassinated’. Bimb! Bimb! Sabe ko oh my God, Bimb, I don’t think that would be our topic.”
“Sa kanya kasi, it’s a matter of fact, it’s history and all, sabe ko in fairness alam ng anak ko.”
Impressively enough, Bimby not only knows the similarities of his mom’s dad with Kennedy’s, he also knows what happened to their moms.
“And then you can also say, both your moms had cancer. Sabe ko Bimb stop it.”
“I was so impressed my 10-year-old has that much knowledge. Pero sabe ko honey I don’t think those will be the things we will be talking about.” /jpv
