Wil Dasovich declared that he was “alive and well” after surgery on his large intestine to eliminate the remaining cancer in his body.
The YouTube star announced a week before that he was preparing for surgery, which would be the “last step” before he could be “100 percent cancer-free.”
He explained that while he finished with nine cycles of therapy, he wasn’t off the hook just yet.
“I know a lot of people assumed that I was done with treatments and that I beat cancer and everything just because I finished chemotherapy,” he said.
“But there is one last step. Basically, they’re just gonna cut out a piece of my large intestine wherever the cancer is.”
After the cancerous portions of his large intestine are removed, it would then be reconnected. The whole process would require a weeklong stay in the hospital and fasting on his part.
The 26-year-old Fil-Am has been battling stage-three colon cancer and is receiving treatment at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.
Since the good news of his successful surgery, a cheery Dasovich captioned his picture, “#TheComeback starts now!” /ra
