1) KC Concepcion hurt, angry but careful in ‘tell-all’

A crying KC Concepcion admitted in a tell-all interview with Boy Abunda that her relationship with heartthrob Piolo Pascual has come to an end. The two in-demand celebrities became close when they starred in the Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama “Lovers in Paris” although Piolo, according to reports, started wooing the Mega daughter when she was just 18. Piolo has an 11-year-old love child with a non-showbiz girl.

2) ‘Willing Willie’ to go off air for 2 weeks, Revillame says

Willie Revillame’s “Willing Willie” was supposed to go off air for two weeks only after a crippling advertisement pullout of major sponsors following an episode which showed a crying boy gyrating as a macho dancer. But due to insistent calls from various sectors of the society, Revillame’s primetime show on TV5 was eventually cancelled. It was later on replaced with another show carrying the same format.

3) Jaclyn Jose mad at Andi’s renegade first boyfriend

Jaclyn Jose admitted on national television last June that her daughter, budding ABS-CBN star Andi Eigenmann, was pregnant. But she expressed anger over the father of her daughter’s child who, many believe, is young actor Albie Casiño. The two have broken up. Andi gave birth last November 23.

4) Star wars in cyber space get ugly

A leaked video of DJ Mo Twister revealing his ex-girlfriend Rhian Ramos’s purported abortion of their child in Singapore has become viral on the Internet. DJ Mo has since left his career in the Philippines and moved to New York to mend his broken heart brought about by his breakup with the GMA 7 actress.

5) Actor AJ Perez dead in Tarlac accident

AJ Perez’s untimely demise last April came as a shock to his fans and co-actors over at ABS-CBN. Being groomed as the next big thing in his mother network, this Rico Yan look-alike died of a car accident on his way back to Manila from a show in Tarlac. He was able to make a final post on Twitter thanking his fans for their unending support. Even after his death, he was still able to appear alongside child actor Bugoy Cariño in an earlier-taped “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode.

6) Camille Prats’ husband dies of cancer

Former child star Camille Prats became a widow at 26 when her husband Anthony Lansingan died of nasopharyngeal cancer last September. She is now left with their child Nathan. She continues to work for the GMA 7 primetime series “Munting Heredera.”

7) ‘Septic Tank’ eyes slot in 84th Oscars

Ang Babae Sa Spetic Tank is the most successful Filipino independent film to date in terms of box office receipts. It is set to undergo a gruelling selection process to earn a nomination for the Best Foreign Language Film category in the 84th Academy Awards. 8) Brillante Mendoza flick entered in Berlin film festival

Cannes best director Brillante Mendoza did it once more. He once again gave pride to the Philippines when his movie “Captive” was chosen to compete in the Berlin International Film Festival which will run February next year. Mendoza recalled that the Philippines last competed in the main section of Berlin film fest 29 years ago with Ishmael Bernal’s “Himala”.

9) Vice’s sassy salvos are ‘Benjamin’s’ best comedic suit

10) Actress Pilar Pilapil stabbed several times

Veteran actress and former beauty queen Pilar Pilapil has since moved on after surviving a stabbing incident in Marikina City. Showbiz followers were reminded of the Nida Blanca murder case wherein the former “Jan en Marsha” star was attacked and killed in the parking space of her Greenhills condominium.
