‘The Expendables 4’ may be back in production

“The Expendables” movie franchise may get a fourth installment as teased by a social media post by Sylvester Stalone.
Stalone uploaded a photo on Instagram that hints at an “Expendables 4” movie in production. He wrote on the the caption, “Just when you thought it was safe to go outside…They’re coming back!”

Deadline reported earlier this month that Stalone had announced his departure from the project. Apparently he had a disagreement with Nu Image/Millennium chief Avi Lerner on who should direct the movie.
Later, Arnold Schwarzenegger said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he would not appear in an “Expendables” movie without Stalone. “There is no Expendables without Sly,” said the veteran actor.
Stalone’s latest post sheds hope that a fourth “The Expendables” movie may finally be taking form. /ra
