Actress Maxene Magalona and musician Rob Mananquil got married today in Boracay.
Television host Tim Yap, who was also a guest at the wedding, documented the occasion that took place at Shangri-La Boracay Resort and Spa.
Yap posted in Instagram a photo of the groom, beaming with his parents. His mother, Millet Martinez Mananquil, is a known newspaper editor.
Yap also took a video of Magalona walking down the aisle, all set to become Mrs. Mananquil. She stunned everyone in an Odelle bridal dress from the Iconic Wedding Dress collection of renowned fashion designer Vera Wang, according to a Philippine Entertainment Portal report.
Other notable names in showbiz such as Megan Young, her sister Lauren, and her boyfriend Mikael Daez also showed up in the all-white themed occasion.
After the ceremonies, the newly-weds posed for a kiss, promising that they will love each other “for a hundred years and more. Because a lifetime is not enough.”
Staying true to the tradition of having “something old” in the wedding, floral and events designer Teddy Manuel shared a photo of Magalona’s bouquet adorned with white lilies and roses. But what he wanted to highlight was a locket that belonged to the bride’s father, the great late rapper-composer Francis Magalona.
“Simple yet meaningful bridal bouquet today for @maxenemagalona. A touch of a locket makes a touching sentiment to share and remember her father on her wedding day,” Manuel wrote on his Instagram page.
Despite not being present for the occasion, Magalona’s sister Saab posted a photo dedicated to her. She is not allowed to travel until she has given birth to her twins.
“I really wish I could be there, but with her big and selfless heart, she told me not to worry about it because the safety of my babies is what’s most important,” she shared her sentiment about missing her big sister’s wedding.
