Television host Ellen Degeneres was up to her old tricks again as she made actors Chris Hemsworth and Margot Robbie battle it out to become the “best Australian.”
On “The Ellen Degeneres Show” on Wednesday, Hemsworth and Robbie were in the game in their Kangaroo onesies and giant boxing gloves as they played “Ellen’s Australian Boxers.”
Degeneres tested their wits on facts from their home country, such as a song from fellow Aussie Olivia Newton-John and the birthplace of Academy Award-winner Nicole Kidman.
But Degeneres spiced things up by asking random questions such as who would Robbie pick between Hemsworth and his younger brother Liam. Butting into the talk show host’s joke, the actor said his brother’s name, to which Robbie agreed.
In another question, Degeneres first stated a fact that Nemo, from the Disney/Pixar flick “Finding Nemo,” was trying to get back to a specific address to get back home. The crowd suddenly burst laughing when she asked, “Chris, what’s your address?”
And to top it off, the talk show asked about an A-list neighbor of hers who is rumored to run for president in 2020. Hemsworth got it right by answering Oprah Winfrey. Degeneris crowned him the “best Australian… besides my wife (actress Portia de Rossi).”
Congratulations, Chris! /ra
