Kris Aquino dismisses filter effect on Bimby’s picture: ‘He’s got mom’s DNA’

Kris Aquino’s praise for son Bimby on his thoughtful Christmas present turned into a defense of his clear skin.

A post on Aquino’s Instagram shows her 10-year-old posing with a book, which he surprised his mom as a Christmas gift.

She said he got the idea when she was watching a vlog and the book came as a recommendation. The book is “Handbags: A Love Story,” a compendium of the most coveted luxury handbags for the past 75 years.

“Bimby took a picture and asked [assistant] Alvin Gagui to look for it,” shared the proud mom.

“He paid back Gagui with his allowance,” she gushed.

While comments hailed Bimby’s thoughtfulness, one quipped that the picture seemed to have a filter.

The comment reads, “Nakabeauty effect ata si Bimb (The beauty effect was used on Bimb)?”

In her reply, Aquino quashed any doubt that Bimby’s flawless skin was natural.

“Have you ever considered that our home is well lit, my phone’s camera has high-quality resolution and with 3.3 million followers I’d make sure my son’s good skin was clearly evident?”

She concluded, “Maybe you and your friend would like to meet us in person to prove that he doesn’t need beauty effect because he got his mom’s DNA?”

Hours later, she posted another picture of Bimby up close with the hashtag #nofilter.

She also shared a selfie of her wearing natural-looking makeup.

No word yet if the Instagram user will take the offer to meet the Queen of All Media and her son in person. /ra
