Chalamet thanks costar’s wife
“Call Me By Your Name” actor Timothée Chalamet, recently honored with the rising actor award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, thanked costar Armie Hammer in his acceptance speech: “It’s a lot easier to be up here because you’re one of my best buddies.”
Hammer plays his older lover in Luca Guadagnino’s coming-of-age romance. Chalamet, 22, then expressed gratitude to an unsung part of his accomplishment.
“Special thanks to Armie’s wife, Elizabeth Chambers … who is as crucial to this process as anyone,” he said. “And for letting me crawl all over your husband for two months.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
