Among Lea Salonga’s fans on Broadway were actresses Maja Salvador and Kakai Bautista.
‘80s matinee idol Michael Locsin, who was in “That’s Entertainment,” was also in the crowd.
Bautista gushed at Salonga’s performance in the play: “One of the best way (sic) to start 2018 is to be able [to] watch you perform again.”
“Super loved #onceonthisisland Amazing Vocals, Amazing Cast!…Teary-eyed while watching kaloka (crazy).”
Locsin, who is now known as Mike Lagman, was with his wife, Charmaine. He is currently a businessman after leaving his showbiz career.
She commented on the post, “Great meeting you @msleasalonga… We totally enjoyed Once on this island. Our new fave!!!”

Salonga stars as Goddess of Love Erzulie in the Broadway revival of “Once on This Island.” The story is about a peasant girl who goes on a journey to find the man who captured her heart.
