Netflix confirms second season of ’The Punisher’
Jon Bernthal’s magnificent portrayal of Marvel’s most infamous antihero, Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher, has certainly left audiences wanting for more episodes.
Christmas came early for fans of the web television thriller, as the streaming service confirmed it will be bringing back the show for a second season.
In a straightforward video uploaded on the show’s official Facebook page, Netflix announced the development by simply noting that “Season 2 is coming,” along with an image of the Punisher’s trademark skull.
Bernthal, meanwhile, celebrated the news with a good old-fashioned meme, which he shared on his Twitter page.

The hilarious image featured the likes of other DC superheroes—“Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones” and “Luke Cage”—and pointed out Castle’s rather unconventional way of getting his “powers.”
